Bahá'í community life
The Hoboken Bahá’í community is learning how to put our beliefs of community building and service to all humanity into action. You are invited to join us in walking a path of service– through prayers, study, and working with children and youth
Children's classes
The Hoboken Bahá’í community offers children’s classes in local neighborhoods in the city to be available to as many children as possible. The purpose of the classes is to assist children in acquiring spiritual qualities and an upright character. Lessons include various modes of learning, storytelling, games, songs, and art.
Junior Youth groups
Bahá’í-sponsored junior youth classes, free and open to everyone regardless of their beliefs, help teach spiritual, moral, and ethical decision-making skills. Usually facilitated by an older adolescent or young adult, junior youth classes empower the development of inner transformation based on an altruistic sense of higher purpose. The philosophy behind the classes assumes that youth at this age have great potential and can make a valuable contribution to the world's betterment.
Devotionals
Regular devotional meetings are essential to the spiritual life of a community. They serve to reinforce the spiritual growth of the individual and foster the dynamics of love and unity within the community. Bahá’í devotional programs are simple and free from rituals. Devotional meetings are open to all, and you are warmly welcomed to join us.
Study circles
Study circles are a series of courses designed to help individuals create a conscious basis of a life of service to humanity and to find practical applications of spiritual principles. They are usually conducted in small groups with one individual serving as a tutor to facilitate the learning process. Study circles are open to everyone.
